Bernice Esther Howell

Bernice Esther Howell, 71 of Pocahontas, Arkansas passed away on October 30, 2020 at St. Bernards Five Rivers Medical Center. She was born on January 13, 1949 in Washington, DC to William and Bernice Lockhart Palmer. She was a Protestant, taught children’s church, and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking, painting, and crafts. Survivors include; her husband of 47 years: Thomas Ray Howell of the home; two sons: Jon Howell (Jill) of Mesa, Arizona and Lloyd Howell of Chandler, Arizona; one daughter: Bernice Esther Brown (Mike) of Pocahontas, Arkansas; one brother: Jon Palmer of Charlotte Hall, Maryland; two sisters: Harriet Willis of Denver, Colorado and Rebecca Phelps of Herndon, Virginia; eight grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by; her parents: William and Bernice Palmer; and two brothers: Paul Edward Palmer and Bill Palmer. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. at Clear Springs Church, Black Rock, Arkansas. Due to Covid 19 guidelines, a mask or other facial covering is required, a Covid 19 acknowledgement form is required to be signed, and social distancing will be observed.
