Elmer Loyd

Elmer Loyd, 79 passed away Tuesday May 29, 2018 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born April 10, 1939 in Vanndale, Arkansas to Elmer White and Hazel Viola Jones Loyd. He served in the United States Navy, enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife: Christina Loyd of Wynne, Arkansas; one daughter: Kelly Lawrence of Wynne, Arkansas; two step daughters: Patricia Jamieson and Lillian Perez both of Scotland; one step son: Joseph Irvine (Sylvia) of Scotland; two grandchildren: Morgan Lewis (Astin), Crissy Lawrence; eight step grandchildren: James Jamieson, Stuart Jamieson, Yvonne Jamieson, Michelle McKenna, Scott Irvine, Tracy Perez, Trevor Perez, Ashley Perez; one great grandchild: Case; seven step grandchildren: Heather, Daniel, William, Laughlin, Amy, Joshua, Oscar and a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers: Harold Loyd, Marvin Loyd, Roland Loyd and Russell Lloyd; one sister: Kathryn Rolland; son-in-law: Robert Lawrence; three grandchildren: Bryan, Kevin and Heather. Funeral service will be Friday, June 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Donnie Jones officiating at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at Birdeye, 3600 Highway 163, Birdeye, Arkansas 72324, 870-588-4608 under the direction of Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas. The family will have a Remembrance gathering for all family and friends Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Vanndale Fire Department, Vanndale, Arkansas.
