Carl Michael Chandler
March 17, 1959 - September 4, 2020

On the afternoon of September 4, 2020 Carl Michael Chandler, of Harrisburg, Arkansas, laid down in his bed with his head on his arm and fell asleep. A short time later, he peacefully slipped into eternity. He was 61 years of age. Mr. Chandler was born at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee on March 17, 1959 to Carl and Irene Chandler of Trumann, Arkansas. Born mentally challenged, he lived his life with his parents having never married. Mr. Chandler loved volunteering for his community. Two of his favorites were the American Red Cross and Volunteer Fire Departments. He was a volunteer for Waxahachie, Texas and Dyess, Arkansas Fire Departments. Survivors include; his parents: Rev. Carlton L. and Irene Chandler of the home; one sister: Renata Smotts of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one brother: Kenny L. Chandler (Colleen) of Happy, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by; his grandparents: Aulta and Lucile Kyle and Johnny Herron and Quay Chandler. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God, Trumann, Arkansas with Rev. William C. “Dub” Holt officiating. Burial will follow at Birdeye Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
