Ronnie "Cotton" Elder
July 17, 1953 - March 15, 2020

Ronnie “Cotton” Elder, 66, of Marked Tree, Arkansas passed away on March 15, 2020 at Methodist University Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee. Ronnie was the second born son of Lois Maxine Lung Elder and Leonard Junior Elder. Born in Harrisburg, Arkansas, he grew up in McCormick attending school in Trumann but graduated from Marked Tree High School in 1971. He served in the Army National Guard, Marked Tree Unit after graduation. He is the father of one son, John Seth Elder, wife Amy with two daughters Ava Katherine and Stella John. The stepfather of Kyle R. Elkins, wife Angie they have two children, Grant and Morgan and three grandchildren, Khloe, Kameron, and Kambree. He is also the stepfather to Stacy Elizabeth Elkins with one son Andrew R. Elkins. Ronnie farmed most of his life and finished his career doing fertilizer application for Trey Hare Custom Application. He loved duck hunting, fishing and most of all his family and the Lord. He served as the minister of music for his home church in Mississippi. On February 26, 2011 Ronnie married his teenage sweetheart Beth and created a wonderful blended home and family. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Marked Tree First Baptist Church with Bro. Chad Stoddard officiating. Burial will follow at Tyronza Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors on Friday at the church from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers: Elbert Bradford, Andrew Elkins, Kyle Elkins, Alan Harsson, Dannie Hooker, Doug Lung, Ted Stewart, and Will Stewart.
