Paul Guariglia
October 13, 1948 - March 8, 2020

Paul Guariglia, a longtime resident of Jonesboro died Sunday, March 8th after a brief illness. He was 71. Paul was born in Newark, NJ, was a military ‘brat’ living all over the United States, and for many years called Florida home. Paul’s love for Arkansas began when his father was stationed at Blytheville A.F.B. in the early 60’s. He promised his school friends he would come back. After graduating from Miami Palmetto Sr. High, Paul returned and graduated from Arkansas State in 1972. He was a proud Brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon. After graduation, he left Arkansas to pursue his career in business development in both the private and government sector which enabled him to travel internationally and brought him numerous awards in sales and leadership. Upon Paul’s retirement his goal was to return to Jonesboro and immerse himself in Red Wolves Athletics. He often said this was the best time of his Life. Paul is survived by his sister, Deborah Guariglia Droke, brother-in-law, Bill Droke, a niece & nephew, Daniela and Paul Droke and a grandniece, Remington Joy Droke. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, March 13th at Saint Paul United Methodist Church 2201 S. Culberhouse St., Jonesboro. In lieu of flowers, the Family is requesting donations to the ASU Athletic Department in Paul’s memory.
