Florene Marie Potter, 84 of Paragould, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, Paragould, Arkansas. She was born June 20, 1935 in England, Arkansas to Bert and Maudie Waddle Dempsey. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Hornersville, Missouri, enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, singing and playing the accordion, spending time with her nieces and nephews, and enjoyed the company of her little buddy, Scrappy. Survivors include; two brothers: Larry Dempsey (Shelia) of Paragould, Arkansas and James Dempsey (Marilyn) of Memphis, Tennessee; one sister: Ann Vincent of Kennett, Missouri; and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; one brother: Eugene Dempsey; and two sisters: Mae Stricklin and Agnes Ryles. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Christian Life Center, Brookland, Arkansas with Rev. Kelvin Stanley officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas. Burial will be in Cardwell Cemetery, Cardwell, Missouri. The family will receive visitors at 10:00 a.m. at the church until service time.
