Floyd Smith

Mr. Floyd Earl Smith, 59, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016 at St. Bernard's Medical Center. He was born on November 7, 1956 in Trumann, Arkansas to Earl and Christine Holt Smith. He was a member of the Nettleton Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas, a leader in Celebrate Recovery, and spent his time helping others.Survivors include; his mother: Christine Delk of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one son: James Clayton of Little Rock, Arkansas; two daughters: Alisia Smith of Jacksonville, Arkansas and Maggie Smith of North Little Rock, Arkansas; three brothers: Steve Holt (Ann) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Charles Smith (Libby) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Shawn Smith of Springfield, Missouri; four sisters: Shelia Fore of Trumann, Arkansas, Jeri Nelson (Randy) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Connie Woods (Randal) of Bay, Arkansas, and Teri Elis of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one granddaughter: Madelyne Smith Spencer; and a host of other family and friends.Mr. Smith was preceded in death by; his father; his wife: Veronica Smith; and one sister: Kimberly Adams.Memorial services will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 1:30 pm at the Nettleton Baptist Church with Pastor Stan Ballard officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to Yahweh Ministries or Celebrate Recovery at Nettleton Baptist Church.

    Floyd and I graduated from Bay High School Class of 1975. We were all so happy to see him last September at our 40 year class reunion. Everyone had a wonderful time visiting and catching up. Grateful to have that memory of Floyd! Prayers of comfort for you all.

    IM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. I was Floyd's friend all through high school. I never got to speak with him after graduation. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Surf would have liked to see Floyd again but our paths in life lead us in different directions. Floyd was a good friend to me I will always remember him for his generosity.God bless you Floyd.
