Sibyl Marie Griffin

Sibyl Marie Griffin, 99 of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020 at the Craighead County Nursing Home, Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born August 4, 1920 in Alicia, Arkansas to William S. and Jessie Ann Clark Harris. She was a member of the Bono Church of Christ, enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include; one son: Charles K. Griffin (Karen) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, one daughter: Evalyn Tate of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one daughter-in-law: Sharon Griffin; one son-in-law: J.L. Wright (Helen); one brother: Bill Harris of Florence, Alabama; six grandchildren: Mike Wright (Laura), Kevin Wright (Beverly) Jodi Hazlewood (Lorne), Jessica Archer (Alex), Melissa McDaniel (Von), McKenzie Dromgoole (Darryl); ten great grandchildren: Bethany Holcomb (Cody), Sara Wright, Layne Wright, Cooper Wright, Kayli Hazlewood, Brianna Hazlewood, Reid Archer, Eviegale McDaniel, Julie Ann Archer, Harris McDaniel; three step grandchildren: Randy Tate (Gayla), Karen Manhart (Pete), Cathy Roop; and one great great granddaughter, due March 2020: Elizabeth Lane Holcomb, and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by; her husband: Owen “Buster” Griffin; one brother: Lester Harris; three sisters: Ruby Oleson, Ann Tucker, and Ada Young; two children: Rick Griffin and Vida Ann Wright; and one son-in-law: Delbert Tate. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bono Church of Christ with Gary Cremeens officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service Manila, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Pallbearers: Grandchildren; Honorary Pallbearers: Alex Archer, Cody Holcomb, Darryl Dromgoole, J.L. Wright, Lorne Hazlewood, Randy Tate, Steve Young, Von McDaniel; and Caregivers Station 4 Craighead Nursing Center. Burial will follow in Trinity Cemetery, Bono, Arkansas.
