Billy Joe Hazelwood

Billy Joe Hazelwood was born July 15, 1982, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He went to be with Jesus, on Saturday August 13, 2016. Billy was a resident of Lafe, Arkansas, of the Baptist faith, an avid fisherman, a machine operator, and loved to tinker with any type of motor. Billy was survived by his two sons: Issac Hazelwood of Tennessee and Ethan Hazelwood of Paragould, Arkansas; his mother and stepfather: Kevin and Delma Ward of Lafe, Arkansas; paternal grandfather: Clarence Hazelwood of Imboden, Arkansas; brothers: Jeff Hazelwood of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Robert (Keisha) Hazelwood of Paragould, Arkansas; Roy Hazelwood of Lafe, Arkansas; Trent (Ashley) Hazelwood of Paragould, Arkansas; sisters: Kim (Mark) Huffman of Bono, Arkansas; Melissa Tate (Sean Harvey) of Lafe, Arkansas; nine nieces and five nephews; three great nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. Billy was preceded in death by his father, “Big Bill” Hazelwood; his paternal grandmother, Joyce McCormick; paternal grandparents, Noble G. Martin and Ermie D. Martin, and Aunt, Kathy Faulkner. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, at Higher Trails Cowboy Church, located at 9728 Hwy 358, Paragould, Arkansas. A graveside service will follow at Pine Log Cemetery, in Brookland, Arkansas, at 2:00 pm with Bro. Rick T. Owens officiating. The family requests donations to his memorial fund at Centennial Bank in lieu of flowers.
