Gene O'Neal Boatman

Gene O’Neal Boatman, 71, of Caraway, Arkansas passed away on September 17, 2018 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He was born on August 19, 1947 in Bradford, Arkansas to the late Thurman and Marie Boatman. He was a member of the Milligan Ridge Baptist Church and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed working, mowing his yard, Pepsi Cola’s, old westerns, and loved all his animals.Survivors include; three sons: Johnny (Johana) Boatman of Milligan Ridge, Arkansas, Adam (Destiny) Boatman of Paragould, Arkansas, and Larry (Kim) Ditto of Texas; one daughter: Vickie (Chris) Boatman of Marmaduke, Arkansas; five grandsons: Jacob Boatman, Noah Ibanez, Devon Ditto, Chris Ditto, and Jacob Ditto; seven granddaughters: Jenna Boatman, Jenly Boatman, Brittney Ditto, Kayla Ditto, Adrianna Ward, Bailey Weatherspoon, and Freya Boatman; two great-grandchildren: Keegan and Kinley Ditto; five brothers: Ardell Boatman of Lake City, Arkansas, Odell Boatman of Glasgow, Kentucky, Charles Boatman of Leachville, Arkansas, Larry Boatman of Bradford, Arkansas, and Lonnie Boatman of Caraway, Arkansas; four sisters: Marie Bressie of Salem, Arkansas, Corine Constant of Lepanto, Arkansas, Ludene Constant of Trumann, Arkansas, and Irene Ashley of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; one brother: Johnny Boatman; and one sister: Kathryn Lucas.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Milligan Ridge Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Colvin officiating. Burial will follow at the Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors at the church on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers: Jimmy Dean Rogers, Terry Couch, Bobby Lee Barker, Merett Emery, Billy Barker, and Garland Tipton. Honorary Pallbearers: Men of the Milligan Ridge Baptist Church, a host of other men from the community, and all his nephews.
