Chester Travis

Chester Stanton Travis, 75, of Paragould, Arkansas passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017 at NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born on March 24, 1942 in Caruthersville, Missouri to the late Jessie and Ellen Marie Green Hepler Travis. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.Survivors include; his wife: Linda Louise Travis of the home; four children: Teena Batten, Christopher Travis (Melissa), Ann Dunlap (Kevin) and Kevin Travis (Tina); six brothers: Dwight Travis, Omer Travis, Joe Travis, Jesse Travis, Glen Travis, and Mabern Travis; two sisters: Joyce Jetter and Lena Austin; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; one daughter: Kelly Jean Travis.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Church of God on 6 ½ and Locust, Paragould, Arkansas with Pastor Nathan Gramling and David Clayton officiating. Burial will follow at Harvey’s Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors at the church on Monday, September 4, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Pallbearers: Cody Mounce, Blake Travis, Corie Travis, Noah Travis, Timothy Travis, Kyler Wilhite, Ty Gramling, and Douglas Lyell.

    Aunt Linda I hope you're not upset with me for not showing up at the visitation or funeral but my health is bad on my hip and my knee my femur is really bad right now and I'm still like bedridden I go to the 12th to find out what day they are removing my femur I love you very much and I am so sorry for what you're going through hell of vocal staying very much and Thursday anyway I can't even get in the vehicle to ride I would be there I love you with all my heart and soul and the kids as well I wish I could be there but at least I got to tell him bye
