Leonard James Barnes

Leonard James Barnes, 56, of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at his home. He was born on July 22, 1961 in Jonesboro. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed buying and selling cars, fishing, fast cars, and comedies, especially Al Bundy.Survivors include; two sons: Chris Barnes (Camellia) and Dustin Barnes (Teneisha) all of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; one daughter: Lachelle Sipes (Heath) of Brookland, Arkansas; four brothers: Lester Groves of Jonesboro, Arkansas, William Floyd of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jessie Floyd of Brookland, Arkansas, and Jason Barnes of Greenway, Arkansas; one sister Judy Darby of Jonesboro, Arkansas; ten grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.He was preceded in death by; his father: William “Bill” Floyd; and his mother: Lura Marie Yearta Floyd.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Woods Chapel Church, Brookland, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers: Judy Darby, William Floyd, Jessie Floyd, James Cole, Danny Easley, and Jerry Easley.
