Lucy Ellis

Lucy Lucille Ellis, 90, of Rector, Arkansas passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 at the Rector Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born on June 10, 1927 to the late Edward and Laura Sutton-Groves. She enjoyed reading, fishing, playing bingo, working in her flowers, and spending time with family and friends.Survivors include: three sons: Jerry Ellis of Marmaduke, Arkansas; Delbert Ellis of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and Scott Mann of Rector, Arkansas; four daughters: Sharon Franks (Danny) of Marmaduke, Arkansas; Donna Crow of Stayton, Oregon; Reta Young of Rector, Arkansas; and Sharlet Warner (Steve) of Kennett, Missouri; one sister: Marie Reed (Lavern) of Corning, Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren, thirty eight great-grandchildren; numerous great great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two daughters: Paula Emmons, and Patsy Hayes; one son: Jimmy Don Ellis; three brothers: Bud Groves, Gene Groves, and Cecil Groves; and three sisters: Opal Wright, Mildred Davis, and Ruby Dale. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Rector General Baptist Church in Rector, Arkansas with Rev. Lavern Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Harvey’s Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
