Violet Johnson

Violet Emma Johnson, age 86 of Ash Flat, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born August 18, 1930 in North Judson, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Clara Podell Lemke and was of the Lutheran faith. Mrs. Johnson enjoyed going to casinos playing the slot machines, traveling and visiting with relatives. She is survived by four sons: William Johnson of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, Bob Johnson of Eugene, Oregon, Jim Johnson and wife Stacey of Cherokee, Village, Arkansas and Jeff Johnson and wife Shelly of Ash Flat, Arkansas; three daughters: Clara Harrison and husband James of Radcliff, Kentucky, Christy Siplon and husband Cameron of Casper, Wyoming and Cathy Johnson of Casper, Wyoming. Mrs. Johnson also leaves ten grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William Dean Johnson; twin infant daughters: Linda and Lois Johnson; two brothers: George and Raymond Lemke; and one granddaughter: Kristain Daniels. The family has requested a private service and disposition under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas.
