James Forrester

Mr. James R. Forrester, age 88 of Trumann, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born October 24, 1926 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Cleveland Edward and Johnnie James Forrester. Mr. Forrester was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Trumann and had served his county in the United States Navy during World War II. He enjoyed going to church, spending time with his family and friends and loved his pet dog “Foxy”. He is survived by two daughters: Leigh Hightower and husband Murray of Harrisburg, Arkansas and Gail Kirksey and husband Freddie of Eads, Tennessee; one sister: Kathy Millsap of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Mr. Forrester also leaves two grandchildren: Kristin Dent of Memphis, Tennessee and Erika Briones of Birmingham, Alabama; one great-grandchild: Landon Briones of Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. Forrester also leaves a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Loretta Forrester; two brothers: Hendrix Forrester and Eddie Forrester; two sisters: Hazeldine Hazel and Geraldine Faulkner. Funeral services will be Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 2:30pm at the First United Methodist Church in Trumann, Arkansas with Pastor Jeff Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 1:00pm until time of service at the church.
