Carol Walker

Mrs. Carol Faye Walker, age 72 of Bay, Arkansas, passed away September 16, 2015 at the NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born February 18, 1943 in Egypt, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Dorothy Connor Parker. Mrs. Walker was of the Baptist faith and retired from the Learning Center. She enjoyed buying jewelry, shopping on QVC and decorating. She especially enjoyed taking care of her great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband: Floyd Walker of the home; two sons: Wendell Coleman and Mark Coleman both of Jonesboro, Arkansas; grandson: Mac Coleman and wife Jordan; two step-sons: Danny Walker and Chris Walker both of Bay, Arkansas; granddaughter: Christina Coleman of Jonesboro, Arkansas; great-granddaughter: Abby Strickin of the home: two grandsons: Jakob Strickin of the home and Jalias Coleman of Jonesboro, Arkansas; brothers: W.C. “Bill” Parker of Bono, Arkansas, Charles Parker of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Jimmy Parker of Smithfield, North Carolina; sisters: Thelma Porter of Smithville, Arkansas, Barbara Hendrix of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Mary Bagwell of Smithville, Arkansas, Deborah Brooks of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Sharon Vernor of Harrisburg, Arkansas and Cathy Ezell of Bono, Arkansas. Mrs. Walker also leaves several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death a daughter: Sandra Germain; a granddaughter: Ashley Stricklin; a twin brother: Gerald Parker; brothers: Daniel Parker and David Parker; sisters: Lavern Melton and Doris Benton. Memorial services are Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 10:00am at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Paragould, Arkansas with Bro. David Gibson officiating. Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or a charity of your choice.
