Lendon Eugene “Len” Powell

Mr. Lendon Eugene “Len” Powell, age 63 of Caraway, Arkansas, passed away September 21, 2014 at his home. Born October 21, 1950 in Dyess, Arkansas, he was the son of Lendon Paul and Alice Coyle Powell. Mr. Powell was a member of the Black Oak Assembly of God Church and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing was a sports fan and enjoyed morning walks with his dog. He is survived by his wife: Helen Louise Powell of the home; his mother: Alice Powell of Lepanto, Arkansas; three brothers: Jerry Powell of Michigan, Larry Powell of Hickory Ridge, North Carolina and Kenny Powell of Lepanto, Arkansas; his dog: Cricket. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his father Lendon Paul Powell. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Black Oak Assembly of God Church with Bro. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the church. Pallbearers will be Bob Holt, Lonnie Anderson, Jeremy Faulkner, Kenny Powell, Larry Powell and Brandon Powell.
