Mary Etta Jettave Long

Mrs. Mary Etta Jettave Long, 75, of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House after a brave battle with cancer. Mrs. Long was born on March 17, 1939 in Trumann, Arkansas to the late Chester Clayton and Mandy Lee Rutherford Hairrell. Mrs. Long was a member of the Church of Christ, enjoyed sewing, singing hymns, and spending time with grandchildren. Survivors include: two sons: Wendell Long of California and Marvin Long of Campbell, California; one daughter: Tracie Martinez and husband Larry of Utah; two sisters: Loretta Craig and Joan Houston both of Jonesboro, Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Mrs. Long was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Winston C. Long; two sons: Denton and Faron Long; three brothers: H.R., Gene, and Ruben Hairrell; two sisters: Beulah Turner and Faye Hairrell. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Pine Hill Cemetery, Jonesboro, Arkansas with Minister Paul Lawrence officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
