Shelley was the best mentor I ever had. She saw potential in me when no one else did. That was her gift, seeing potential in everyone and her other gift was pushing people to reach that potential. Everytime something good happens I think that Shelley will smile when I tell her (or laugh). It’s hard her not being in her office whenever I want to see her. I give myself comfort by thinking she is there watching Outlander on her computer. Words can’t express what a wonderful human she was. I always wished that I could be as good of a mother to my future children as she is to her girls.
