Linda Louise Handley- Cates

Linda Louise Handley-Cates, 80, of Cooter, Missouri passed away at her home on March 6, 2023. She was born on April 11, 1942 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Harrison Wells and Myrna Sides Wells. Linda made the best divinity and homemade chocolate pie. She won a lot of baking contests for her homemade coconut cream cake. She enjoyed ironing, cooking meals for the missionaries, looking forward to shopping on Saturday’s, getting her nails done, doing baking contest, and spending time with her grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks to her special sweet stepdaughter Rebaka Ring for all of her caring. Survivors include; loving husband: William Cates; two daughters: Kelah D’Lynn Phillips and Kristi Karen Hastings; two stepdaughters: Wendy Adams and Lisa Cates-Kirby; fifteen grandchildren: Abigail Cecil, Chloe Wren, Luke Phillips, Cody Phillips, Joshua Wren, Jessica Wren, Madison Wren, Kipp McKay, Lori Handley, Jackson Handley, Adam Lambert, Amber Lambert, Elizabeth Simpson, Matthew Handley, and Dustin Handley; two great grandchildren: Vera Jones and Landon Wren; one brother: Mickey Wells; one sister: Sam Meadows; and a host of other family and friends. She is preceded in death by; her parents: Harrison Wells and Myrna Sides Wells; one daughter: Lorri Belinda Wren; one son: Stephen Lee Handley, Jr.; two great grandchildren: Caleb Wren and Felix Jennings; one brother: Jimmy Wells; and one sister: Judy Cates. The family has requested private arrangements under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
