Gary Timms
February 13, 1953 - January 3, 2023

Gary Timms 69, of Lake City, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 3, 2023. He was born in Trumann on February 13, 1953 to the late Nolen and Dorothy Timms. Gary served his country as a young man in the Army National Guard. He spent many years as a manager and general laborer. Gary had a servant’s heart which led him to later pursue a career in EMS, just as his late father and his oldest son. Gary was a family man who loved big. He was a jokester and loved to aggravate and cut up with those he loved. His proudest accomplishments were his two boys and his grands, whom he loved with all his heart. Being Papaw was his biggest blessing. Gary enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, fishing & being outdoors. His most favorite place to be was in the hills with his kids and grandkids. If there was a trip, he was ready to go! He was also an avid Razorback fan and if the Hogs were playing, you could find him sipping Pepsi and cheering them on. Gary was proceeded in death by his parents, two brothers Mike Timms and Tony Timms and one granddaughter, Angel Michelle Timms. Survivors include his companion for many years, Norma Timms; his two sons, Chad (Paula) Timms of Caraway; Ryan (Brandi) Timms of Lake City; step-daughter, Jennifer (Andy) Jones of Paragould. Grandchildren, Ashton Timms & Taylin Timms of Caraway; Madison (Will) Timms Skaggs, Kirstyn (Carl) Gallapoo, Jaxson Timms all of Lake City; Chandler (Kimberly) Timms of Paragould; Alyssa Jones & Kaylee Jones of Paragould; Great Grandchildren Lastyn Timms of Lake City and Asher Timms of Paragould. Gary also leaves behind a host of family and friends whom he loved dearly. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Chad Timms, Ryan Timms, Jaxson Timms, Curt Timms, David Timms and Tim Fair. Honorary pallbearers: Chandler Timms, Carl Gallapoo, Will Skaggs, all Gary’s first cousins and EMS Family. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Caraway, Arkansas with Bro. Rick Stevens and Cliff Carter officiating.
