  1. Edna Payne, Magnolia, AR says

On his mother's side, Rodney was the oldest grandchild. After 15 years, I, the second oldest was born. Soon afterwards, many more grandchildren were born, 19 in total on the Black side of his family. As I grew up a very short distance from our grandparents' home, I got to see all of the cousins when they came to visit. Rodney and Maxine were always fun and full of life. Years later, when our cousin, Doug Black, hosted the Black family reunion at the old home place, Rodney and Maxine were always in attendance. Later, when my husband and I had the reunion at our house, they would make the trip to Magnolia. They missed only one, and they were sorely missed, along with Maxine's peanut brittle! My thoughts are with his children, grands, and sisters. I think of you often, and remember those good times we had in McNeil.
