Luther Wayne Dunaway, 77 of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away at his home on November 20, 2021. He was born on March 13, 1944 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Archie and Alice (Webb) Dunaway. He was a member of Southwest Church of Christ and he worked for the Arkansas Highway Department for 41 years. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and working at the food pantry. Survivors include; spouse: Ann (Spencer) Dunaway of the home; two sons: Richard Hoke of Jonesboro and Patrick Hoke of Brookland, Arkansas; step-son: Rodney Sharp of Nashville, Tennessee; one daughter: Karen Hubbard of Jonesboro, Arkansas; step-daughter: Angela Anderson (Roger) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two brothers: Charles Dunaway of Paris, Tennessee and L.D. Dunaway of Paragould, Arkansas; one sister: Connie Brown of Paragould, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Ashley Tarver (Bryan), Courtney Jones (E.J.), Nicholas Gann (Cass); three great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by; wife: Darlene Dunaway; two brothers: Gordan Dunaway and Jim Dunaway; sister: Doris Doty; and daughter: Tammy Haskett. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at the Southwest Church of Christ in Jonesboro, Arkansas with Jimmy Adcock officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Pallbearers: Jerry Easley, Mike Oliver, Nick Gann, Patrick Hoke, Brent Crow and Darryl Hubbard. In lieu of flowers the family requests to make donations to any food bank of your choice.
