Lou Taylor

Mrs. Lou Taylor departed this life on November 14, 2021. Lou was born on October 23, 1933 in Cottonwood Point, Missouri to William and Earline Carr of Cottonwood, Point, Missouri. On May 6, 1953, she was united in marriage to James Henry Taylor of Cottonwood Point., who passed away on February 4, 2019. James and Lou were the parents of five children. Dennis Jess Taylor (Mary) of the McCarty community, James Byron Taylor of the Cottonwood Point Community, Donna Marie Taylor, who preceded her in death, Michael R Taylor of the Cottonwood Point Community and Susan Diane Mackey (David) of Northlake Illinois; five grandchildren: Brandi Taylor of Kennett, Missouri, Nicholas Taylor (Katie) of Branson, Missouri, Jamie Buchanan (Denver) of San Antonio, Texas, Emily Taylor of Springfield, Missouri. and Carolyn Mackey (Robbie) of Northlake, Illinois; had five great grandchildren: Sarah Taylor of Branson Missouri. Kyra Taylor of the McCarty Community, Atlas Buchanan and Cy Buchanan of San Antonio, Texas, and Savannah Nichols of Northlake Illinois; one sister: Sue McClendon of the McCarty Community; one sister-in-law: Glenda Sayre of Chicago Illinois; and a host of other family and friends. Lou graduated from Arkansas State University with a degree in nursing. Lou worked for many years as an RN with the dedicated doctors and nurses and support staff at the Mississippi County Hospital in Blytheville, Arkansas. Lou enjoyed traveling in the United States especially the beautiful Hawaiian Islands. She was proud to have visited London, England to see the historical sites. She saw Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London and many of the beautiful churches. She visited Paris, France to see the Eiffel Tower, the palace at Versailles and the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa. She visited Venice, Italy where the streets are water and they travel around the city in gondolas. She visited the most famous bridge in the world The Bridge of Sighs. She visited Florence, Italy to see the Biblical statue of David. She was able to visit the Vatican to see St. Peters Basilica and the Sistine chapel. She also visited Switzerland. Lou often spoke out against greed, hate, racism, bigotry, demeaning other people’s religion and dehumanizing other people who are not like us. Lou’s philosophy of life had always been “do all that you can for as long as you can for the least of these”. The family has requested private services. Guest Registry: www.faithfuneralservice.net
