David Wayne Johnson 48, of Jonesboro, Arkansas peacefully passed away at his home on October 9, 2021. He was born on May 6, 1973 in Bossier City, Louisiana to P.F. and Carolyn Metcalf Johnson. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a faithful Pittsburg Steelers fan, loved the beach, was an amazing singer, but most importantly was an amazing father, and always put his children first. Survivors include; wife: Angie Powell Johnson of the home; parents: P.F. and Carolyn Metcalf Johnson; former wife: Cindy Johnson; one son: Gunnar Johnson of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two daughters: Alex Johnson and Riley Johnson both of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three brothers: Brad Johnson of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Austin Johnson (Vee) of Heber Springs, Arkansas, and Ricky Johnson of Little Rock, Arkansas; beloved friends Jason and Michelle Pierce; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by; maternal grandparents: Buford and Estelle Metcalf; paternal grandparents: P.F. and Lorene Johnson. The family has requested private services.
