James Leon Kemp, 74 of Wynne, Arkansas passed away on July 19, 2021 at his home. He was born on June 15, 1947 in Vanndale, Arkansas to Charlie Everett and Juanita Clark Kemp. He was known as the “mayor” of Vanndale, enjoyed gardening especially tomatoes and arguing with his neighbor about them, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include; one son: Jim Leon Kemp, Jr. (Kari-Beth); one brother: Robert Kemp of Mississippi; three grandchildren: Jacob Louis Kemp of Wynne, Arkansas, Lauren Kemp of Rock Hill, South Carolina; and Charles Ray Latture of Beebe, Arkansas; four great-grandchildren: Maverick, Nivea, Cohen, and Grant; special friends: Carolyn Konzak and the Ward Family (Rusty, Karen, Maddie, and Caroline; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by; his parent: Charlie and Juanita Kemp; and one sister: Nadine Kemp Jeffers. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at his home, 2644 Highway 1, Wynne, Arkansas.

    My Cousin. Although we were miles apart and Senior Citizens. I kept up with you. I was told of your gardening talents and could see the love you had for your Son and Grandkids and Great Grands. I enjoyed our talks and being on Facebook together. You fought the good fight and told me some days were better than others but now those days are over and no more pain or suffering. God Bless your Family. You are in his hands now.
