Dennis Dunkerson, 72 of Rector, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at his home. He was born May 13, 1948 in Caraway, Arkansas to W.A. and Delois Toombs Dunkerson. He served his country in the U.S. Marines and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include; two daughters: Jennifer Mowery (Tim) of Rector, Arkansas, and Lavonna Denise Van Oven (David) of Glenco, Arkansas; two brothers: Jerry Dunkerson (Chiyoko) of Caraway, Arkansas, and J.L. Dunkerson; five grandchildren: Ryan Van Oven (Savanna) , Colton Van Oven (Emma), Jodi Van Oven (Loren), Mason Knight (Spring), Denver Knight (Ashley); four great grandchildren: Dustin Van Oven, Danielle Van Oven, Declan Van Oven, Chloe Bradley; and one on the way (baby Knight); the mother of his children, friend, and caregiver: Connie Cole of Rector, Arkansas; caregiver: Kelsey Carpenter (Matt) of Corning, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; one sister: Gouilda Hurst. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Caraway First Baptist Church with Bro. Rick Stevens officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas. Family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
