Tonie Sue Owens
October 24, 1964 - March 1, 2021

Tonie Sue Owens, 56 of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away March 1, 2021 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center, Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born October 24, 1964 in Amarillo, Texas to Leslie Wayne and Patricia Ann Faris Beverly. Tonie was very special person and friend to all who knew her. She would give you the shirt off of her back if needed. She was a very carefree person, loved to listen to rock music and go to concerts, fishing and spend time with her grandchildren. One of her favorite things to do was ride motorcycles and work on them with her friend, Jerry Hardin. Christopher Cook is also one of her closest friends, anytime Tonie needed anything, he was always there to support her. Tonie’s carefree attitude will be missed by many. She was one of the toughest and sweetest women I ever met. So to all the friends of my mother, I believe she would say, “Rock On and don’t dwell on her passing but to celebrate her life.” So I say to the friends of my mother to listen to the old classic rock songs that she loved and remember her and all the great things she did for others. We love you Momma ! Survivors include: three daughters: Leslie Ashby of Charleston, South Carolina, Sarah Payne of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Casey Payne of Paragould, Arkansas; two brothers: Jody Beverly of Virginia and Lester Beverly of Blytheville, Arkansas; five grandchildren: Laila Romero, Kynlea Baldwin, Hazel McGinty, Samuel Cortey, and Willow Payne; and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; her husband: Charles Owens; grandparents: John Russel Beverly, Lena Beverly, George Faris, and Madelynn Faris. The family has requested a private disposition under the direction of Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas.
