Tony Zelmer Yearta, 69 of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center, Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born April 17, 1951 in Baron Springs, Michigan to William Neal and Lydia Fortenberry Yearta. He was a member of the North Main Baptist Church, Jonesboro, Arkansas. He enjoyed watching football and basketball, and western movies. Survivors include two brothers: Clayton Browning of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Doyle Yearta of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three sisters: Brenda Baskin of Tennessee, Rachael Casteel of Swifton, Arkansas, Lydia Bobbitt of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; one brother: Clarence Browning; two sisters: Geraldine Bearce and Marie Floyd. Graveside service will be Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Shiloh Cemetery, off Highway 141, Jonesboro, Arkansas In compliance with Covid 19 guidelines, a mask or other facial covering is required, a Covid 19 acknowledgement form is to be signed, and social distancing will be observed.
