Howard Shirley, 77 of Caraway, Arkansas passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He was born on February 7, 1943 in Shirley Grove, Georgia to Ernest David Shirley, Jr. and Ruth Ann Eller Shirley. He was a member of Rowe’s Chapel Baptist Church and enjoyed listening to gospel music, reading, travel, fishing and visiting with family and friends. Survivors include; his wife: Shirley Shirley of the home; four sons: James Shirley of Jonesboro, Arkansas, David Shirley of Adrian, Michigan, Paul Shirley, and Greg Adams (Sunni) of Marmaduke, Arkansas; one daughter: Sheryl Puckett (Allen) of Caraway, Arkansas; one brother: Owen Shirley of Lodi, Ohio; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by; his father: Ernest Shirley, Jr.; his mother: Ruth Ann Eller Reed; and one son: Howard Shirley, Jr. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Rowe’s Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Glen Hoselton officiating. Burial will follow at Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors on Monday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Pallbearers: Mark Hogan, Mark Pollard, Billy Pendergrass, Brandon Hoselton, Luke Adams, and Jeremy Garland. Honorary pallbearers: Rowe’s Chapel Baptist Church Family. Due to Covid 19 guidelines, a mask or other facial covering is required, a Covid 19 acknowledgement form is required to be signed, and social distancing will be observed.
