Don Hyde
September 10, 1940 - December 9, 2020

Don was born September 10, 1940 in Paragould, AR to Aaron and Jane Masters Hyde. He worked for Mutual of Omaha most of his life and eventually, his own agency. His favorite past times were watching his beloved Atlanta Braves, the Arkansas Razorbacks and having a love/hate relationship with the Dallas Cowboys. He loved being around his family and had special names for each of them. No one was addressed by their given name. This year he and his high school sweetheart, Judy Jeter, celebrated 62 years of marriage. They have three children, Julia (Larry) Davis, Paragould, Mike (Christine)Hyde, Lincoln, NE and Jim (Karen) Hyde of Memphis, TN. He has eleven grandchildren, Keith (Deanna) Davis, Slidell, LA, Josh (Deidre) Davis, Paragould, Sarah (Jon) Walker, Paragould, Ashley Hyde, Memphis, Jamie (Meggan) Davis, Paragould, Eric (Danae) Hyde, Austin (Becca) Yuen of Lincoln, NE Michael Hyde, Memphis, TN, Colin Davis, Paragould, AR, Allie (Logan) Clark, Paragould, AR and Libby (Spencer) Hinkle, Paragould, AR. Eleven great grandchildren called him Granddaddy – Jackson Juliana and Crosby Walker, Ezra and Eliana Davis, Levi, Camden and Hallie Davis, Benjamin Clark all of Paragould and Ryder Holmes of Lincoln, NE He is also survived by two sisters Wilma Parks, Poplar Bluff, MO. and Shirley Robinson, Collierville, TN. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Dwight (Teresa) Hyde of (Kansas) In addition to his love for his family and the Braves, Don enjoyed being a part of The Crossing Church of Paragould. He enjoyed the fellowship there and made many great friends. This September Don celebrated his 80th birthday, he said it was one of the best days of his life. Many memories were made that we will treasure. Wednesday, December 9, 2020 was the day God had appointed to take him home. We know his Christmas will be extra special this year, but we will miss going to Grandad’s house and not hearing him call us by our special names.
