Peggy Joyce Shempert

Peggy Joyce Shempert, 73 of Dyess, Arkansas passed away at her home Thursday, December 3, 2020. She was born February 4, 1947 in Dyess, Arkansas to Elzie Dee and Dovie Mae Kester Frisbee. She was a member of the Lepanto Pentecostal Church, enjoyed painting, playing piano, and working in the garden. Survivors include; two sons: Jeffery Shempert of Marked Tree, Arkansas, Robert Shempert (Rachell) of Dyess, Arkansas; one daughter: Angela Shempert of Tyronza, Arkansas; one brother: Louis Dee Frisbee of West Plains, Missouri; three sisters: Goldie Peeler of Lepanto, Arkansas, Shirley Slaughter of Lepanto, Arkansas, Rosalee Slaughter of Jackson, Mississippi; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; her husband: Cloys Wayne Shempert; one son: Danny Wayne Shempert; granddaughter: Tiffany Ashlynn Shempert; one brother: Carl Dee Frisbee; three sisters: Lorretta England, Virginia Wells, and Margaret Butler. Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Lepanto Pentecostal Church with Bro. Jonathan Neely officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas. Burial will be in Potter’s Cemetery, Lepanto, Arkansas. Visitation will be at the church Monday, December 7, 2020 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
