Lessley "Leon" Garrett

Lessley “Leon” Garrett, 84 of Trumann, Arkansas passed away on November 9, 2020 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born in McCrory, Arkansas on August 9, 1936 to Jesse and Evy Bess Garrett. Survivors include; his wife of 61 years: Lillian Garrett of the home; two brothers: James Garrett of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Wilburn Garrett (Dorthy); one sister Yuthie Hanes; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by; one daughter: Norma Kay Garrett; his parents: Jesse and Evy Garrett; three sisters: Myrtle Garrett, Dorothy Freeman, and Wanda Haner; three brothers: Earl, Virgil, and Harvey Garrett. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of God on Birch Street, Trumann, Arkansas with Rev. Timothy Gary and Bro. Carlos Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park under the direction of Faith Funeral Service The family will receive visitors at the church from 12:00 noon until service time. Pallbearers: John Garrett, Josh Garrett, John Garrett, II, Johnny Wayne Garrett, Jason Garrett, and Michael Freeman. Due to Covid 19 guidelines, a mask or other facial covering is required, a Covid 19 acknowledgement form is required to be signed, and social distancing will be observed.
