Lou Wanda Carter, 73 of Marmaduke, Arkansas passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 at her home. She was born on April 19, 1947 in White Oak, Arkansas to Clarence and Earlene McGue Jones. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Nimmons, Arkansas. She sang with the Canaanlanders Gospel Group and enjoyed spending time with her grandson and family and friends. Survivors include; her husband of 55 years: Bobby Joe Carter of the home; one daughter: Missy Vinson (Larry) of Marmaduke, Arkansas; one grandson: Ethan Vinson of Marmaduke, Arkansas; one sister: Linda Flint of Kennett, Missouri; one sister-in-law she always considered as a sister; Mary Jones of Murray, Kentucky; many brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by; her parents: Clarence and Earlene Jones; one daughter: Tracy Carter; one brother: Ronnie Jones; and two sisters: Mary Ellen Johnson and Stella Smotherman. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Marmaduke First Baptist Church, 304 N 1st Street, Marmaduke, Arkansas with Bro. Cliff Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Harvey’s Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors at the Marmaduke First Baptist Church Family Life Center on Monday, September 21, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers; Cliff Carter, Michael Carter, Luke Carter, Weldon Brown, Mark Carter, Josh Carter, Nicolas Carter, Jason Carter, and Daniel Carter. Honorary Pallbearers: Allen Merrell, Kyle Carter, Dustin Flint, Scottie Jones, Terry Burr, and Tim Carter. In compliance with Covid 19 guidelines, mask or other facial coverings are required, social distancing will be observed, and a Covid 19 acknowledgement form will be required to be signed.
