James Edward Owens, 74 passed away at his home in Trumann, Arkansas, Tuesday, August 4, 2020. He was born February 26, 1946 in Paragould, Arkansas to Ernie Edward and Martha Hunt Owens. He enjoyed reading and playing with the kids and grandchildren. Survivors include; his wife: Nancy Owens, of the home; two daughters: Sandra Biggers (Danny) and Roxann Jones; five sons: John Owens ( Darlene), Jerry Owens (Mary), David Owens, Joshua Owens (Patricia), Daniel Owens (Liz); one sister: Glenda Willbanks; fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; one sister: Bonnie Owens; and four grandchildren. Funeral service will be Friday, August 7, 2020, 1:00 p.m. at Grace Pointe Church, 828 Christy Street Extended, Trumann, Arkansas with Rev. Shannon Tribble and Rev. Carlos Cox officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas. Visitation will be at the church, Thursday, August 6, 2020 5:00-7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Epsaba Cemetery, Beech Grove, Arkansas. Pallbearers: Carl Gallapoo, Charlie McKinney, Ortenzo Frazier, Michael McKinney, Ralph Guthrie, Theo Austin III. In compliance with Covid 19 guidelines, face mask or other facial coverings are required, social distancing will be observed, and the signing of a Covid 19 acknowledgement form will be required.
