Cecil Allen Nelson
February 4, 1962 - July 26, 2020

Cecil Allen Nelson, 58 of Paragould, Arkansas passed away on July 26, 2020. He was born on February 4, 1962 in Harrison, Arkansas to Buford and Lorretta Porter Nelson. He was of the Southern Baptist Faith and work for thirty-four years for the Arkansas Highway Department. He enjoyed anything outdoors, hunting, fishing, and sports. His granddaughters stole his heart and brought out another side of him when they came along, they were his princesses. Survivors include; his mother: Lorretta Nelson of Paragould, Arkansas; two sons: Cody Nelson (Skyla) and Kyle Nelson both of Paragould, Arkansas: three brothers: Mitch, Mike, and Rex Nelson all of Paragould, Arkansas; two granddaughters: Swayzee Rain Nelson and Sage River Nelson; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by; his father: Buford Nelson. A celebration of life and visitation will be held on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at The Crossing Church, 101 S Pruett St., Paragould, Arkansas. Due to Covid-19 you should wear a mask and practice social distancing.

    I considered Cecil a personal friend,working with him a lot of years. He was one of the best mannered and all around good human beings I knew.     Cecil was one the high school students that I will always remember. He, his brothers, and his parents were such nice people when I was a teacher at Oak Grove. My condolences to his entire family. I'm sure he will be greatly missed.
