Bill Parks Hays
February 9, 1932 - July 22, 2020

Bill Parks Hays, 88 of Forrest City, Arkansas passed away on July 22, 2020 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born on February 9, 1932 in Benton, Arkansas to Wiley Parks and Nellie Daniel Hays. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was human resource director for General Industries, both in Forrest City. He was a member of Kiwanis Club, Forrest City Area Realtor Association (he had his realtor license for forty years), and a board member at Delta Regional Airport. He was survived by; his nephew: John Key and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by; his parents: Wiley and Nellie Hays; and one sister: Bobbye Hays Key. He will be buried at Ten Mile Cemetery at a later date.

    I have known Bill Hayes and his very long time friend, Dana Whittenton for many years. Dana preceded him in death a while back and he missed her terribly. Bill was a gentle, soft spoken and honest man. He was a good friend and will be missed.

    I met bill in 1962 and had contact with him off and on over the years. We became close friends while attending Kiwanis Club meetings over the past several years. His very close friend, Dana Whittenton, of may years, came with him sometime. They were a loving couple. Dana passed away in the past year and he missed her terribly. Bill was a good, gentle, soft spoken man. Bill will be missed.
