Elaine Shannon, 80 of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away Monday, July 13, 2020 at NEA Baptist Hospital. She was born November 16, 1939 in Tyronza, Arkansas to Rev. Carl L. and Mattie Lee Potts Selby. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and taught the youth girls class, she enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing the piano, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include; four children: Pam Clay (Charles) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Sharron Weir of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Alana Pinchback (Dr. Keith) of Helena, Arkansas, and Bart Shannon of Memphis, Tennessee; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; her husband: Gordon Shannon; three brothers: C.G., Thomas and Charles Selby. Private funeral service will be Friday, July 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church, Jonesboro, Arkansas with Bro. Todd Vinson officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas. Private Burial will be in Nettleton Cemetery. Pallbearers: Cameron Weir, Chandler Weir, Kurt Weir, Justin Clay, Charles Clay, Keith Pinchback. In compliance with Covid 19 guidelines, face mask or other facial coverings are required, social distancing will be observed, and the signing of a Covid Acknowledgement form will be required.
