I don’t think I’ve known anyone in the past 25 years more devoted to her vegetable garden than was Patty to hers. Several years ago, Patty sent me some “moon flower” seeds and those flowers are still coming up year after year in my backyard. So, now when I see them, I will indeed remember her and how kind she was to any and all who needed an act of kindness. A couple years ago, I returned to Lake City for 3 days for the sole purpose of working on our old family cemetary plots. They were hideously grown up and it was a big job and it was in July. I looked up at hearing a noise and it was Oatty pulling in. She had came to see if I needed help. Of course, I told her I’d rather take my time, do it alone, and have my say with my dead relatives as I go down the line. So she hugged my neck and said so long. My family and Patty’s family go back even before my birth. They lived next door to my grandparents until they died, at which time they were then sold the property. Patty loved life and everyone in it, but she loved nothing - nobody - more than her husband Donald. They were a couple even before he served in Vietnam. Patty and Lake City were synomonous. I will miss her.

Fond school memories of Pattie. We always ran into each other at the Stores and would laugh because that was when we would talk a little bit. I will miss seeing her smiling face. She was always so kind to me. My sincere condolences to all of you. Heaven gained another sweet angel.

  10. Jerry(Frog), Lake City says

My sincere sympathies go out to the family of Patty on their loss of a wonderful person. I grew up with the 3 girls, Kay, Linda and Patty and always considered them friends and now all three are gone. She is now with Donald, the love of her life and I know he was at the gates waiting for her to walk thru. We had some good times growing up in Lake City and she will be missed by a lot of people. She is in a better place now and has no pain. May she Rest In Peace in the Lord's presence.
