Sarah Emma Jean Ford Hinds

Sarah Emma Jean Ford Hinds passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the age of 93. Born on October 27, 1926 in Balch, Arkansas to Bernard and Effie Ford. Emma then lived near Trumann, Arkansas and Kansas City, Missouri before permanently residing in Jonesboro, Arkansas since 1967. A faithful wife to her late husband of sixty five years, George Buford Hinds, Emma is survived by three sons (Gerry, Michael, Chris) and three daughters (Lynda, Lorie, Lisa) their spouses, ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, three sisters, and a host of other family and friends. Emma was known for her loving and giving spirit not only to her family, but to the many children she babysat over the course of forty years in her home. She also welcomed drop-in relatives and friends to freshly baked cookies from her cookie jar and often had fresh popcorn popped from her stove top. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and homemaker, but most importantly she was a faithful Christian who loved others and shared her faith without reserve. Funeral service will be Monday, March 2, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Funeral Service Chapel, Manila, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Harrisburg Memorial Cemetery, Harrisburg, Arkansas.
