O.E. Rosse
June 26, 1935 - January 29, 2020

O.E. Rosse, 84, of Trumann, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, Jonesboro, with his loving family by his side. He was preceded in death by; his wife: Elsie Young Rosse; his twin brother: Sam Rosse; his parents: Sam and Lora Peace Rosse; and his sister: Edith “Bobbi” Leone. Ed was born in Bay Village, Arkansas and grew up in Trumann, Arkansas before moving north in 1955 where he met his wife, Elsie. He worked for many years at General Electric in Rockford, Illinois before moving back to Trumann in 1981 and opening R&R Compressor business. He mostly enjoyed repairing refrigeration and compressors for local businesses. His free time was spent rebuilding a 1928 Buick and drinking coffee with friends, reminiscing about the good old days. Ed will be greatly missed by his son, Edward, his grandson, Samuel Hatcher, his sister-in-law and caregiver, Joyce Rogers and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2020 at Providence Baptist Church in Trumann, Arkansas with Brother Bobby Brooks officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas. Burial will follow in Bassett Cemetery, Bassett, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors at the church from 1:00 p.m. Friday until time of service. Pallbearers: Edward Rosse, Samuel Hatcher, Ken Curtwright, Matthew Curtwright Scott Whitaker, Harry Wright, and Doug Timbs. Honorary Pallbearers: Donald LaFarlette, WH Smith, Jim Fowler, David Smith, Tony Gluff, Jimmy Meade, Dale Whitlatch, Randall Hare, and the Providence Men’s Breakfast Group.
