Doris Jean Woods

Doris Jean Woods, 72 of Paragould, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at her home. She was born January 6, 1947 in Steele, Missouri to the late Walter and Sadie Pauline Sharp Johnson. She was of the Christian faith, loved to cook, she enjoyed her job as a cook at Head Start in Kennett, Missouri, enjoyed fishing, and pulling pranks on family and friends, she enjoyed sitting on the porch after work while talking on the phone. She is survived by; three daughters: Alicia Woods of Paragould, Arkansas, Michelle Leonard of Arbyrd, Missouri and Tonya Aldridge of Paragould, Arkansas; four grandchildren: Bruce Lee Leonard, Tosha Leonard, Sydney and Zachary Kulin; two great grandchildren: Braxton Jayce Simmons and Adylee Brooks Simmons; and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; her husband: David Gene Woods; grandfather: Dillion Sharp; and one brother: Gerald Johnson. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Church of God, Paragould, Arkansas with Sis. Wilma Simmons officiating. The family will receive visitors Saturday at the church at 10:00 a.m. until time for service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Kennett, Missouri under the direction of Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas. Pallbearers: Ryan Sawyers, Roger Aguilera, Josh Faulkner, and Willie Simmons.
