Effie Geraline Bratton, 96, or Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019 at the Community Compassion Center of Jonesboro. She was born on September 1, 1923 in Black Oak, Arkansas in Poinsett County to Lacey and Effie Hartsel Conrad. She was a member of the Black Oak Assembly of God in Craighead County. She enjoyed fishing, camping, singing, and visiting with family and friends. Survivors include; one daughter: Vicki Kimberland (James) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one granddaughter: Melissa Bryant (Kevin) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one grandson: Patrick Kimberland (Kristi) of Alma, Arkansas; six great-grandchildren: Logan Willett, Hayden Kimberland, Parker Kimberland, Sam Bryant, Georgia Bryant, and Cate Bryant; and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by; her father: Lacey Conrad; her mother: Effie Hartsel King; her husband: George Curtis Bratton; one great-granddaughter: Laikyn Willett; and all of her siblings. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.at the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.

    Sis. Bratton was a great influence for my Christian living. I know she will be greatly missed but oh the rejoicing and shouting on those Golden Streets. I can see her shouting all over the place. I'm sure Bro. Bratton and Granddad & Grandmother are enjoying the great reunion. My prayers are with the family during this time of grief.
