Louella "Lou" Kambanis
November 13, 1941 - September 4, 2019

Louella "Lou" Kambanis, age 77, passed away peacefully in her home on September 4, 2019. She was surrounded by her children. She was born to Jim and Daisy Allen on November 13. 1941. Lou was a lover of life. She loved to travel and plan her next adventure. Lou loved digging for arrowheads and quartz crystals. She loved fishing, hiking, birdwatching, plants, flowers and trees. The beach/ocean was her "happy place". Lou loved her family. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. Lou was the peacemaker, the glue that keeps families together. She loved parties, getting together and sharing memories. She loved to have fun. Lou was a hair stylist for many years. She aspired to be a writer and wrote for the Pea Ridge Times. She loved painting, photography, genealogy and everything nature. Lou was a volunteer for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for abused and neglected children. She was a long-time member of the Elks Lodge #498 and served on various committees there. Lou Loved LIFE. Lou is survived by her children , Teri Kambanis, Kim Smith (Jim), George "Butch" Kambanis and Ginger Fears (Mikel), her grandchildren April Steele Haley (Chris), Jared Kambanis, Tony Steele, Jenny Burrow (Joe), Erin Phillips, Nikki Russell (Matt), Abbie Kambanis, Connor Smith, Malinda Baldassaro (Mario), Lane Fears and Lindsay Fears and her great grandchildren Ava Phillips, Eliot Steele, Addie Fears and Grayson Baldassaro, her brothers George "Boe" Allen (Glenda), Bob Allen, Earl Allen (Carolyn), James Allen, Steve Allen (Ambrea) and many other family and friends including her neighbor/friends at The Ecumenical Center where she lived for 13 years. Lou is preceded in death by her parents James "Jim" Allen, Daisy Allen and sister Aline Lewis. Please join the family in her Celebration of Life on September 29th, 2019 from 2pm - 6pm at the Elks Lodge, 2113 West Washington, Jonesboro, Ar. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude or the charity of your choice.
