James Leon Williams, 84, of Caraway, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at his home. He was born on August 12, 1934 in Caraway, Arkansas to Elmer Lewis and Opal Guinn Williams. He was of the Baptist faith, an Air Force Veteran, retired from General Motors, enjoyed playing on the computer, and square dancing. Survivors include; his wife: Mary Williams of the home; one son: Kenneth James Williams (Dawn) of St. Peters, Missouri; one daughter: Tammy Sue Schneiderheinze (Paul) of Caraway, Arkansas; two brothers: Jerry Williams of West Helena, Arkansas and Donnie Williams of Black Oak, Arkansas; three sisters: Betty Davis of Rockford, Illinois, Levetta Davis of Lake City, Arkansas, and Patricia Armstrong of Bay, Arkansas ; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.. He was preceded in death by; his parents Elmer and Opal Williams; five brothers: Junior, Bill, A.J., Rayburn, and Charlie Williams; and one sister: Oneda Lary. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Caraway, Arkansas with Bro. Rick Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Monette Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors on Thursday at the church from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers: Matt Sieling, David Williams, Kenny Williams, Randy Field, Jason New, and Mike Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers: Ethan Wison, Mikey Sullivan, Roger Williams, and Shelby Davis. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to St. Jude Hospital in James’s honor.
