Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Austin, 86, of Hoxie, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Lawrence Hall Nursing Home in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. Born April 4, 1928, in Portia, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Clay and Nettie Mae Wendell West. She was a retired school teacher who had received two Masters Degrees. She was member of First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas and enjoyed reading, sewing, especially crocheting, fishing and plants.

Mr. Albert Lee Cook, age 77 of Parma, Missouri, passed away October 26, 2014 at his home. Born June 9, 1937 in Savannah, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Henry and Martha Sagley Cook and was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Cook was of the Baptist faith and was a farmer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Mrs. Georgia Lee Barrett, age 88 of Harrisburg, Arkansas, passed away October 25, 2014 at her home. Born February 20, 1926 in Manila, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Lily Gentils Muse and was a life-long area resident. Mrs. Barrett was a member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed reading, knitting and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Gonter was born on November 3, 1930 in Seattle, Washington to the late Patrick Henry and Margaret Simkins Ellis. Born September 12, 1964 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Jerry Walter and Patsy Ruth King Lenderman and attended the Church of Christ in Light, Arkansas. Mrs. Holmes was an administrative specialist for the college of music at ASU in Jonesboro. She loved music, rescuing animals and spending time with her family and friends.

Born November 4, 1952 in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Floyd and Roberta Maxwell Thorpe and attended the Rock of NEA in Jonesboro. Rev. Thorpe was an ordained minister and former pastor for the past 30 years. He loved to study the Bible and teach Bible studies. He enjoyed fishing, fast sports cars and spending time with his family and friends.
