Born in Henderson, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Ausment and Hazel Tennessee Ellis Bridges. Mrs. Shaneyfelt was a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church at Hargrave Corner, Arkansas. She served on numerous church committees and was a member of several community clubs.
